From the moments we are born to the day we die we use language to communicate with others. We employ it to describe and understand the world around us, and so that we can be understood ourselves. However, when it comes to communicating ideas and core concepts, or the inexpressible in life, language alone falls short.
When language does fall short, we turn to art to express what has been lost in translation. When words alone can’t communicate, we use color or imagery or music to evoke emotions, and to express the heart of a subject.
At its core, Empty Carafes seeks to share these ideas and concepts to deepen our understanding of the world. Empty Carafes speaks to and shares the voices of artists and creatives in their attempt to translate the ineffable; establishing a unique and authentic publishing model in the process.
